PackFresh

Changelog

What we shipped, and what we decided.

Dated, and never backfilled. A build log is the one thing a company this size can demonstrate rather than assert — which only holds if entries appear when the work does.

Decisions are published because they are the evidence for how we work — and because the distance between deciding and shipping is worth being able to see. How we work →

  1. shipped

A stop button the customer can reach

Scout can act on your behalf, so you can stop it — from the dashboard and from the extension itself, without waiting for us. An agent you cannot halt is one you should not have armed.

  2. decided

The parent brand is PackFresh, unmodified

Ratified how the portfolio is named: one parent, three tiers, and a rule that runtimes — extensions, mobile apps, point of sale — are never brands. It is why roughly twenty applications present as seven products.

  3. shipped

Binder pages that look like binders

A collection page should feel like the object it represents. Covers, spines, and pockets, generated from one hue per binder.

  4. decided

Scout ratified as a capability, with an execution ladder

Settled what Scout is and how far it may go, with each step gated on evidence rather than a date. Detection is shared across the network; execution always runs on the customer’s own machine, in their own session.

Real pack economics, not a marketing number

Rips now computes and shows what a pack is actually worth from live pricing, treatment by treatment. The earlier headline figure was flattering and wrong, so it is gone.

    Share cards, pre-generated

Every public binder renders a share card ahead of time into storage, so a link posted anywhere resolves to a real image instead of a blank rectangle.

  7. decided

A category stays dark until someone has audited it

Set the rule that a game is not visible until a Category Manager has been through it. An unaudited empty category reads as a broken game rather than an unopened one, so it is better to show nothing.

    Commodity markets, with idempotent receiving

Bulk inventory — commons, lands, tokens, supplies — became a priceable asset class rather than a shoebox. Receiving is idempotent, so a retried request cannot silently double a merchant’s stock.

The acquisition network settles end to end

Funded demand now runs the whole way: an authorised buyer sources against it, ships it in, we verify it, settle it, and allocate it to real inventory — with the trail intact at every step.

  10. decided

    Rips becomes its own app

Pack opening became its own mobile-first app with its own visual identity, sharing one account and one balance with everything else. Competitors are apps, not tabs.

This is a curated log, not a commit feed. Hundreds of commits a month would prove activity rather than progress, and a log nobody reads proves nothing at all.
