Who helps who
Worked out from what each product reads and writes, rather than asserted. Some help each other directly; others do it through something they share and never touch.
Accounts, reputation, inventory levels and payments stay with us. Those are the things that break when there are two copies, so they are not extensible and are not going to be.
Everything above that (workflows, analytics, reporting, tools for a particular kind of seller) is meant to be built on. If we have already shipped something in that space, treat it as the floor rather than the ceiling.
Some things run in production for us before anyone outside depends on them. Slower, and the only way we are willing to ask someone to build their business on it.
